I like Drudge's headline best - No Judo With the Jew

Iran's world judo champion Arash Miresmaeili refused to compete against an Israeli Sunday, triggering a fresh crisis at the Olympic Games where race, creed or color are not allowed to interfere with sport.

I know this doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but why is the Iranian contestant named and not the Israeli?

Because the Israeli isn't the *bleep*?

I wouldn't want to be remembered as the guy who the *bleep* wouldn't fight against, since that is really no fault of my own. I'd rather be known for what I've done and accomplished.

Let him win his fights and then you'll see his name, and in a way better light too.

PS. Got here from Jon's blog, so blame him for seeing a french name on your site. :-)

*waves to John-Louis* Hey! Good to see you! :)

Uhhh GBAM? Which article were you reading? "Right after the draw was made last Thursday there were reports that Miresmaeili, 66 kg world champion in 2001 and 2003, might pull out because his opponent was an Israeli, Ehud Vaks."

(Emphasis mine)

I'd make a witty comment about how being a Bush supporter leads to this sort of lack of attention to detail, but I'm crazed at work. So I'll just wink at ya. ;-)
