Israel and Egypt Conferring on the Gaza Pullout Plan

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt met with the Israeli foreign minister, Silvan Shalom, on Monday, their third meeting in the past six months. Both men expressed support for a plan to increase Egypt's security presence along its border with Gaza, and to send the Egyptian police into Gaza itself to help train their Palestinian counterparts, according to Israeli officials.
