I gotta be honest - if I were either Arab or Austrian or both, I would probably be against this too.

VIENNA, Austria -- Plans to name a Vienna square after Zionist Theodor Herzl drew protest Tuesday from the Arab League, which urged city fathers to reconsider for the sake of continued "good relations" with the Arab world.

I am very happy that Herzl did what he did for my own sake, but I don't think the need to create the state of Israel either reflects well on the Austrian population and certainly did had a negative effect on anyone who wanted to keep their way of life in turn-of-the-last-century Palestine.

Maybe the Austrians would consider him a hero becuase he gave the Jews a place to go so that Austria could be Judenrein.
