Pusruant to previous threads about the various branches of Judaism and prosyletizing, I guess the Reform movement really wasn't kidding. This ad was in today's paper. Nice touch placing it on Christmas Day.

Can they be any more obnoxious?

Is it that it's Christmas, or that it's Sunday?

Did another such ad run in last Sunday's paper? Or has the evidence of what was or was not in last Sunday's paper already gone to the curb?

Will you take the time next Sunday to see if there is another such ad then?

(I prefer to assume less insidious intentions until presented with overwhelming evidence otherwise. That's just me, though.)

Hrm. Is it an "Educate the World About Judaism Class" or Let's Convert You To A Chosen Person™ Class?"

Because I suspect a little education about Jews might not be a bad idea in your neck of them thar woods.

Didn't see it in the paper today, so I'd assume it's a Sunday thing. The Christmas thing could have been coincidence - I do generally read the paper every Sunday, but it's quite possible I didn't see the ad.

It's got to be a "Lets Convert You" class. Believe me, the Christinas here know a lot more about the Jewish religion than the some Jews do in the "urban contemporary" space.

(I only say this half-jokingly. My synagogue invites a few Christian congregations to come to Friday night services and they get a question and answer session before and after. Pretty darn good questions too.)
