For Times haters, the good news is that, like many newspapers, it is suffering from some business setbacks. But I wish it no evil. I just want it to get back to what it once was. - Jay Ambrose

Yup.  *Sigh*

In today's editorial on Iraq, we are told, "Americans need to hear Mr. Bush offer something truly new — not more glossy statements about ultimate victory, condescending platitudes about what hard work war is..".  A few paragraphs later, we are informed, "Mr. Bush must make clear to both Iraqis and Americans that without significant progress, American forces will not remain. We’re under no illusions. Meeting those challenges is going to be extremely tough."

Er...you mean "hard work"?  Right out of the President's playbook...hypocrites.

I didn't realize this - The Florida Gators became the first program to hold football and men's basketball titles at the same time Monday night with a 41-14 victory over top-ranked Ohio State.

I actually went to a couple of football games in Gainesville when I lived in Tampa from '94-'97 since I had a friend who was an alum and his dad was a booster.  If you haven't been to a college game with 80,000 people and a battle of the bands, you don't know what you're missing.  I even got to see a Florida-Florida State game once.  G-d, that Tomahawk Chop was annoying (video here).  Great memories.
